AmCham Macedonia General Assembly
In accordance with Article 7.1.6 of the Agreement of the Association of the American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia (AmCham), you are cordially invited to attend the 9th Annual General Assembly on Monday, September 14th, 2009 at 15:00 at Hotel Holiday Inn. The Assembly will include the election of new members of the Board of Directors, a review of the chamber’s operations and activities, and confirmation of new members.
A reception, featuring remarks by HE Ambassador Philip T. Reeker and Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Peshevski will immediately follow the business meeting.
Enclosed is a registration form to designate the individual who will officially represent you and be entitled to vote at the General Assembly. There are also a number of additional tickets that are available for companies who wish to include a second representative at the business meeting and reception. Please note that each member is limited to one official vote at the Assembly regardless of the number of attendees. Advanced registration is required and additional tickets to the event will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis. There is no charge to attend the General Assembly and reception.
Elections of New AmCham Board Members
This year, AmCham will elect three (3) new members to serve on the AmCham Board of Directors. The Board of Directors plays the leading role in strategic planning and in shaping the Chamber’s mission. We urge you to consider becoming active in the organization and undertaking this vital stewardship role.
In order to comply with U.S. Chamber of Commerce membership requirements, one of the three elected members of the new Board must be a U.S. citizen or representative of a U.S. company. If you would like to apply, please complete and submit the enclosed application form to AmCham no later than Friday, September 4th.
The Agreement of Association also requires a quorum of 33 percent of AmCham membership to conduct the General Assembly. Therefore, it is important that you inform us as soon as possible of your plans to attend and designate your representative. Please complete and return the enclosed registration form by Friday, September 4th.
